Limestone and clay are prime materials used for the reaction. The Limestone rocks are compressed and converted into fine particles with crushers. Fine particles of limestone and clay are pushed into ball mills where they are mixed up to the desired degree before sending material into silos for storage. Before the process of calcinations takes place, the material is heated under 800-1000 degrees Celsius. The material is reheated under 1450 Celsius. It is then combined with gypsum and Pozzolana to produce PPC after few days.
